MEET CERTIFIED BOOK EDITOR

Dr. Boaz Goss

Nonfiction with intellectual weight: the humanities, sciences, and all idea-driven fields

I specialize in helping authors deepen research, sharpen arguments, and engage their audience. I completed a joint PhD in Healthcare Ethics and Theology, where I honed the skills required for both academic writing, as well as writing for general audiences that is rooted in logic and research.

I’ve been the editor of special issues in the scholarly journals Christian Bioethics and the Journal of Medicine and Philosophy. I’ve seen the power of research-driven ideas change the world.

When I’m crafting a book with an author, I know my effort is going towards something important, something that’ll last. A book is someone’s legacy. Civilization is built on books.

An editor is a teammate, not a gig worker. And publishing is a marathon that always takes longer than you think. Invest in a team that understands you and will sustain your project from concept to publication. If you’re an author with an argument to make or a big idea to present, I’m your editor.

If you’re interested in working directly with me as your editor, we would start with a 30-minute discovery call to align goals, timelines, and voice.

If we proceed, I provide a manuscript review—at least three pages of honest, high-level feedback on what’s working, what isn’t, and where to begin editing.

Following a manuscript review, I tailor each editing package to the project, ranging from light grammar fixes to heavy developmental edits, depending on the client’s needs.

The best way to discover more about me is to visit my website, explore my essays there, and see my writing style in action.
