Fantasy, Romance, Historical Fiction, and Literary Fiction
I read constantly. If I'm not working or taking care of my daughters, I'm reading—the classics and contemporary novels, and everything in between. Ten years ago, my sister and I started a book club. I found myself reading so much that I decided to open a blog to review books. For the last five years, I’ve reviewed four to five books every month, in addition to the books I edit.

I believe that your book is a bridge between your mind and the reader's mind. Don't be afraid to let readers climb into your head for a little while. Let them experience what you've lived and feel what you're feeling. Through editing, the message and meaning you've created from your unique human experience can be clarified to its most powerful form.
That's where I come in—what drives my approach is wanting to know an author's vision for their book, so that I can make sure my recommendations align with the author's goals. Your story is yours, and my job is to help you realize that vision in the most compelling way possible.
Your manuscript is more than just physical pages. It's hours, weeks, months, even years of hard work. It's part of who you are.
I use a 3-Act approach to editing. I start with a manuscript review (Act 1), where I provide an overall assessment that highlights aspects of the story that still need improvement, along with a plot roadmap of your novel. From there, we can move into developmental editing (Act 2), line and copyediting (Act 3), or proofreading (Epilogue), depending on what your manuscript needs.
Since I have a PhD in linguistics from the Universidad de Sonora, where I conducted writing and research in both English and Spanish, I provide editing and translation in both English and Spanish.
If you’re looking for an editor who is an avid reader, with a breadth and depth of exposure to literature across English and Spanish, both classics and contemporary, I would welcome a conversation about how I might contribute to your book’s journey toward publication.
